Original artwork, made for skin.

Tattooing just felt like a natural progression of my journey as an artist. Aside from the fact that it’s fucking cool, I’ve always viewed tattooing as the ultimate art form. At this point, I can’t really picture myself making art and not tattooing.
Surprisingly, it’s my background in graphic design that influences my approach the most. Graphic design taught me to think beyond simply making something pretty—to maximize contrast, work within the limitations of a canvas, and consider how a design will function over time. Right now, I’m especially interested in bringing more of that graphic-design aesthetic into tattooing. You don’t see it enough, and when it’s done well, I think it can be a beautiful and different way to approach skin.
But equally as important as the design is the experience of getting one. I care about how you’re doing on the other side of the machine, how comfortable the session is, and how the tattoo heals afterward. Good work matters to me, but so does being a normal, approachable person who actually gives a damn about the person wearing it.
